The idea
House the people who matter, all in one place
A wedding in the Ardèche often means guests coming from far away and venues out in the countryside. Le petit Vialto sleeps up to 16 people, close family, the wedding party or friends, in three gîtes on one private estate in Grospierres.
The estate is rented as a whole, Friday to Sunday outside the high season (an extra night for long weekends) or by the week in summer, for those turning the celebration into a holiday.
Le petit Vialto has no reception hall: we host the guests' accommodation, the next-day brunch and the preparations, not the party itself.
The gîtes
Who sleeps where
- Gîte Horizon (sleeps 8, 4 bedrooms): parents and siblings, or a group of friends. Master suite with a 180 cm bed and private bathroom.
- Gîte Agora (sleeps 4, 2 bedrooms): a couple with children, or the best man and maid of honour.
- Gîte Nature (sleeps 4, 2 en-suite bedrooms): the grandparents, or the newlyweds themselves for the wedding night, set apart.
- Beds made up on arrival and towels as options: your guests need bring nothing.
The day after
Brunch and recovery
- The terrace of Gîte Agora, in the shade of the pergola, hosts the Sunday brunch for 16; the big room in Gîte Horizon takes over if it is too hot or raining.
- The heated pool (May to late September) and loungers to recover from the night before; the pétanque court for the more energetic.
- Children have the play area and swings in the enclosed grounds.

Practical details
What to know
- Location: Grospierres, 6 km from Ruoms, 15 min from Vallon-Pont-d'Arc, 20 min from Les Vans, 25 min from Balazuc. Many of the southern Ardèche's wedding venues are within 30 minutes.
- Rate for the whole estate and 16 guests, bed linen included: €1,200 to €1,900 per weekend, €2,300 to €4,000 per week. See the rates.
- Transport: private parking and garages on site; plan cars or a shuttle for the evening, as there is no public transport at night.
- House rules: 16 guests maximum, children included; quiet after 10 pm; no smoking indoors; no pets.
- We live on site: we welcome your guests even if you are already at the venue.
